Nasarawa State University Keffi and the Office of the National Security Adviser have consolidated efforts to strengthen their strategic partnership in research and development through the National Counter Terrorism Center.

 

Receiving the Director and doctoral students of the Institute of Governance and Development Studies,the National Coordinator of the Center commended the University for maintaining a high standard in Peace and Security training and research.

He lauded the study tour for its educational and practice significance to national development. He expressed the readiness of the Center to collaborate with the Institute of Governance and Development Studies in research and development to enrich the intellectual content of security -policy formulation and implementation.

 

He assured the delegation that on the basis of the “all of society and all of government appoach” to security management in Nigeria’. He commended Prof.Andrew Zamani for adding value to the operations of the Institute.

 

Responding Prof. Zamani conveyed the fecilitation of the Vice-Chancellor ,Prof.Suleiman Bala Mohammed and assured his host that the University through the Institute of Governance and Development Studies was determined to provide the intellectual resources of her staff and students to support the Federal Government’s efforts at curbing the security challenges of our nation.

 

He commended the National Coordinator for.being a worthy alumnus of University and commended his blazing the trail with his doctoral thesis on Strategic Communication as a strategic for countering terrorism.
