POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
In general, candidates must possess a minimum of five (5) credits passess including English and Mathematics in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, TC and its equivalence or as approved by the Board of Postgraduate studies and the Senate. In addition to the general requirement, each programme has its own specific requirements.
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Security and Strategic Studies
REQUIREMENTS:
a. Candidates who hold a Master of Science Degree in relevant field from Nasarawa State University, Keffi with CGPA 4.00 on a 5 point scale CGPA 3.50 on a 4 point scale.
b. Candidates with equivalent qualifications from other recognized Universities.
c. candidtaes with any other qualifications with relevant working experience which are acceptable to the Board and Senate
d. Preference are given to candidates who are security personel
Master of Philosophy (MPhl) Security and Strategic Studies
Candidates with Professional Master Degree can apply for this programme.
Appropriate University degree of Bachelor with at least a Second class lower.
Higher National Diploma (HND) and/or professional qualifications
Master of Science (M.Sc) in Security and Strategic Studies
a. Holder of first degree in relevant field from Nasarawa State University, Keffi with First or Second Class Honours
b. Holders of equivalent qualifications from other recognised Universities
c. A candidate with a degree lower than second-class lower honours may be eligible if either;
i) he has good relevant Postgraduate Diploma with at least a lower credit pass
ii) he passes any prescribed qualifying examination for admission
d. Candidate must have NYSC or Exemption Certififcation
e. Preference are given to candidates who work in security unit
Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Security and Strategic Studies
For Postgraduate Diploma Programme, Candidates must possess either a minimum of pass Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a University recognised by the Senate of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi or a Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit.
